My journey into Low carb
Hi :D
In this first blog i just wanted to speak about my new diet craze.. The low carb WOE!
I came across a thread whilst looking on mumsnet,which was a low carb bootcamp.. so i joined it, (4 weeks ago) and i've been hooked ever since!
Basically the rules are:
- No starchey foods: rice, pasta, lentils etc
- No potatoes, sweetcorn, peas
- no sugar whatsoever (whilst bootcamping)
- This means no fruit!
- you can eat as much meat/fish/veg as you like: the fattier meat the better
- fry/ cook in butter and oil
- plenty of eggs and cream with your meals is good too!
- Eat three meals a day
- AND the final rule...you MUST drink plenty of water.
So since ive started i've lost about 4.5 kilos...i'm obviously very happy with that but i still have a way to go! Sooo ill be writing about my low carb goings on here...if anyone has anything to add then feel free :)
