DIY Hair extensions...HELP??

I'm thinking about putting my own hair extensions in, I already have clip ins but the clips bug me :/ i'm always paranoid if my hair moves you'll see the clips!

I know it's pricey to get them done at a hairdressers so i'm considering trying to buy the hair, bond etc and doing it myself... Has anybody tried this?? Can anyone shed any light??
